I did a mental health workshop on 22/11/2017 at parc prison bridgend where i delivered a talk to youth offenders, here is their response…

Aaron from ‘Brotectors’ came in to HMP Parc today (22/11/17) and met with us at the PE department. He delivered a fantastic workshop to our young people. having a class of 9 young people all aged between 16-17 he began with an informal chat about mental health. He focussed on both positive and negative mental health and stressed the importance of being able to talk about it. Aaron focusses on his own experiences and explained how he dealt with his depression by using sport and physical activity as a tool. Every single young person fully engaged in the workshop and that was down to how Aaron was so enthused and passionate about the topic. After the informal chat, Aaron then run a weightlifting competition with the young people and this is where he really built a rapport and positive relationship with the lads and engaged with them. A very positive, informative day. Look forward to another visit
